Unit 047 - Welcome to Jack's Shack your coastal retreat on the tranquil shores of Dauphin Island's West end. This recently renovated beachfront haven boasts an updated kitchen featuring granite and new backsplash, brand-new flooring throughout and a freshly painted exterior & interior.

Nestled along the sandy beaches of the Mississippi Sound, Jack's Shack offers a prime waterfront location. Step outside onto the deck to bask in the sun and take a refreshing dip in the private pool, all while relishing breathtaking 360-degree views of the water from the expansive wrap-around deck. Conveniently positioned just across the street from the Gulf of Mexico, this property provides easy access to the pristine waters.

The heart of the home is the spacious and airy living area with an open kitchen design, strategically adorned with windows that frame captivating water views. The four-bedroom, three-bathroom layout ensures ample space for relaxation and rejuvenation. The master bedroom features a luxurious king-sized bed and a private bath, while the second bedroom offers a cozy queen-sized bed.

Ideal for families or groups, the third bedroom is equipped with a twin-over-full bunk bed and a twin bed, providing flexible sleeping arrangements. A recent addition to Jack's Shack is the fourth bedroom, complete with a queen-sized bed and a private bath, offering a serene retreat for guests.

No parties or events allowed at this location. Occupancy must be observed at all times. Primary renter must be over age 25 and must be present during the entire stay.

Things to know about our Dauphin Island Rentals:
Pet friendly with non-refundable pet deposit per pet.
A mid-clean charge will be added to 30 day rentals
All linens are provided
Propane grill provided (renter responsible for propane)
You must be at least 25 years old to rent

Additional Charges: Cleaning fee, 13% lodging tax, non-refundable reservation fee and damage waiver, optional travel insurance.

Saturday to Saturday reservations required during peak summer season. ADSFR Fishing Rodeo weekly rentals only.

"This was our second year staying at Jack's Shack and we have booked again for next year! The home is very comfortable both inside and outside and has a well-stocked kitchen! We enjoy sitting on the covered pier/dock to watch the sunset most nights and have enjoyed watching the pelicans fishing and occasionally dolphins swimming past! Great location and room for our dog to run in the yard...perfect spot for us!

"This was our second stay at Jack's Shack and will not be our last. It is the perfect vacation home to cover what everyone loves to do on vacation. Great fishing from the dock, great access to the gulf beach across the street and the private beach on the Mississippi Sound, so many cozy places to relax and read a book, and of course the pool. This house provides something for everyone. We rarely ever even left the house other than to grab a quick dinner, visit the west end beach, or get more bait. It also close enough to Mobile that if you like to do more commercial things, you can. We did have to make a quick run to the city when a large fish snapped the end of my husband's ocean pole. The teenagers never once complained of being bored. The wifi worked great, there is adequate supplies in the kitchen to cook meals, and of course our favorite thing about the house is the daily visits from Fred (Heron) on the dock as he waits for us to provide him with a fresh meal. We can't wait to visit again. The only downside...the 13 hour drive from Ohio!

"We had the best week here! We absolutely loved the layout of the home. We are big foodies so we were extremely happy with the cooking utensils and accommodations that the kitchen offered. The pool was great and our kiddo loved the board walk and the dock. We were able to bring our dogs. One of which is a senior dog and he got to walk the beach for the first time so that was very special for us! The rental company was very responsive and very accommodating! We look forward to coming back!

"We had a great time at Jack’s Shack! Quick easy access to the beach and nice relaxing patio and dock on the bay side. The house was very spacious and we enjoyed playing games on the large dining room table. The propane grill worked great and the kitchen had everything we needed.

"Jacks Shack was a great place to stay. We loved the dock and the ease of accessing the ocean. The soundside beach was great for the smaller kids. Clear water and shallow. We caught sharks, grouper, red drum, croaker, stingrays, catfish and other fish from oak. I think we most enjoyed the daily visits from Fred (the heron). The house had most everything we needed. I would recommend upgrades to the pool deck. Several boards were very soft. All around we had a great week and would definitely recommend Jacks Shack if you're looking for a place to relax and unwind. One word of warning...get everything you need food wise before you get to the island. Everything is super expensive at the local stores.

"When i called to reserve Jack's Shack the rental company said "it's a great property". They weren't wrong. The location of having the bay on one side and the beach right across the street was more than ideal. Also the house is set up to have those views from within the house which is great. We watched the sunsets from the covered dock each night and to us, that is what Dauphin Island is all about.

Stunning Sunsets

"Breath taking views of the sunset from many spots on the property. I was not disappointed with my choice to stay on the sound side with this home because it gave the best of both worlds. You had the breeze and the sound of gulf on one side and the calm waters with dock to fish from whenever you wanted with a short walk down the boardwalk. We enjoyed bird watching from the dock and visiting with Fred. Loved it so much we've already booked our 2025 stay. Thank you ACP for answering questions as we were first time visitors to DI.

"Jack's Shack has the best of both the sound and the gulf. Every day, we could see the sunrise and and the sunset. The house floor plan was excellent, and the furnishings and art throughout the house made Jack's Shack one of our favorites. It was wonderful to see both the ocean and the bay at the same time, and the beach was only a short walk down the driveway and across the street. ACP is our preferred rental agency. They were very quick to respond when the storm came with 60 mph winds and blew one of the windows off the track and into the house. They sent a repairman very quickly, and he was able to fix the window on the spot. And when the coffeemaker didn't work, they provided a brand new one. We loved our vacation at Jack's Shack. Thank you to the owner who added all the special touches to the home.

"This house was so nice and very easy to locate. The views were more than we could have asked for. Our family enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of town and just steps from the beach. If you are looking for a place to kick back, relax and spend time on the water this is the spot. Our favorite part was sitting on the dock watching the dolphins play. We will most definitely return.

"What a beautiful well stocked home! Spacious, clean, and colorful! We especially enjoyed location with access to Bay and Gulf. We went from beach to pool and appreciated the outdoor shower. My grandsons have taken up fishing, so the covered dock area was utilized as well. The kitchen had all the extras we needed so we did a lot of cooking. HIghly recommend a stay at Jack's Shack.
