Just a reminder that Dr Scott Douglas will again do his Shoreline Stabilization Presentation tomorrow evening, Wednesday, October 28th at 6:30pm in St. Edmonds Church Hall.

The Town of Dauphin Island has asked that we forward to our property owners information on the Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which is a program for delivering energy efficiency services to moderate to low-income households. While it is mostly geared to persons over 60, and/or those with disabilities, plus it has income eligibility guidelines that are quite moderate, some of our residents probably do qualify. If you wish to have more information on this program call Andrea Hill at Mobile Community Action, 251-624-7026. If you know someone here on the island that might be eligible, please pass this information on.

Another reminder, the next Dauphin Island Property Owners Association Board of Directors meeting will be held at the Isle Dauphine Club on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 6:00 pm. All members are invited to attend.

Dear members,

Several weeks ago Dr. Scott Douglass, who is working with the Town of Dauphin Island as an advisor on coastal restoration issues, gave a presentation on the history of our coastline, as well options available for coastal restoration and his recommendations. Dr. Douglass will again do his presentation on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at the Catholic Church Hall on Cadillac Ave at 6:30 pm.

We urge all residents and property owners interested in the future of coastal restoration here on the island to attend this presentation.
