Dear Dauphin Island Property Owner,

You received some information earlier about an initiative to organize a group of volunteers to perform an early morning surveillance of our beaches to report the presence of oil, oiled wildlife, etc. This will provide more information re. how to become involved.

First, interested parties should register with HandsOn South Alabama ( volunteer organization that will coordinate the project) via the website www.servealabama.gov. Use the project name "Clean Sweep DI" to indicate your specific interest.

A training/orientation meeting will take place next Wednesday, June 23, at the Isle Dauphine Club at 2:00 PM. If unable to attend you may call Hands On South Alabama 251-433-4456 to sign up.
