Hey folks,

The POA board of directors is having their monthly meeting next Saturday, Jan. 14th @ 9am in Isle Dauphine's ground floor.

This is a call for all the golf course volunteers to attend. It is important for the board members to see our faces, hear our dedication, yes, feel our passion.

I have asked Jack Gaines to place our report as early on the agenda as practical.

It would be worthwhile to introduce ourselves, individually to the board members and other property owners present in the room.

I would ask a few folks just exactly what jobs you have done on the golf course in the last two or three weeks.

Maybe a couple of volunteers could address the board and re-enforce their decision to allow the volunteers to keep the course open.

Tell 'em why you are putting out the effort, getting a little dirty and working on our golf course when you might be doing something else.

I, for one, believe we have dramatically resurrected the golf course - the greens are pretty and putting better, most tee boxes look better and most of the sand traps really look like golf course bunkers.

"Its not a Robert Trent Jones course, but he doesn't have a facility looking out over the Gulf of Mexico."

Our continuing challenge is to work on the fairways.

Admittedly 9, 2 and 3 fairways need alot of work, but others are shaping up and one can use irons without getting sand in you face.

Attending the meeting is important. We need the board of directors to continue their support for our efforts.

After all, Dauphin Island owners of property, all of us, have a piece of Isle Dauphine Golf Course.

We can do this.
