Construction of Beach and Dune System for Dauphin Island 6-27-2010

This is an Emergency Public Notice just posted today (June 27, 2010) which can be accessed on the following link as provided by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Mobile District.  This provides for the dredging of 5 million cubic yards of sand to be placed along the south side of Dauphin Island in three specific locations.  It not only provides for construction of a new dune system, but also extension of the beach on the West End.  Construction to approximately begin July 1, 2010 and end in October 2010.  If you cannot access the above link, then please go the the website below:
